Hunshelf Amble 22nd June 2002. Weather cloudy but warm, slight breeze but very good running conditions.
The race was won by Andrew Carruthers of Crawley AC in a new course best time of 53:45. First Penistone runner home was Mark Law in a time of 56:55, to finish 3rd overall. Ex PFRAC runner Simon Rippon was 2nd overall. Second Penistone runner was Ian Charlesworth who went under the hour in 59:39, Ian has now extended his lead in the Championship with total points of 287 from 6 races. First lady home was Sue Higam in a time of 74:10. Twenty-two Penistone finished the event out a total of 55 runners. Thanks to the organisers for a wonderfull event and very enjoyable day at the gala following.
