Sheffield Marathon. 29th April 2001. Weather overcast, slight breeze. About ideal for running. New course started and Finished at Don Valley stadium, the route went out over Shepcote Lane up towards the Airport then towards Brinsworth. First Penistone runner home was Bobinnes who was 6th V50 overall. A number of runners recorded PB's including Lee Morfit who went under 1:30 for the first time, Martyn Goodwin, Sue Higham, and Sue Charlesworth who took about 25 mins of her PB.
