Trunce 8th April 2002. First race in the 2002 series. Weather, a clear night, cooler as the sun disappeared,dry under foot, perfect running conditions. The Trunce saw the biggest field for a number of years with 146 Seniors completing the race and around 30 juniors ran the newly formed junior race. The winner was Tony Wright in a time of 24.17, Tony however has first claim with Doncater with Cross Country so did not qualify for Championship points. First PFR runner was Mark Law in a time of 27.51, First Lady was Kath Goldthorpe in a ime of 35.00. A total of 32 Senior Penistone runners competed, which is the second highest turn out for a Championship race in the last 2 years. Thanks to Andy for all his efforts.
